Rogue Samba

O Bebê

This is a fun, fast-paced piece about a party and a baby. It includes a Call, Response, and a Shout!

Audio Mock Up

This audio mock up is generated using samples from Loops de la Crème and custom samples of the Timbau.

Here is the audio from start to end. Note that the groove builds from Surdos and Agogô by adding Caixa, Timbal, and Repenique, one at a time. the Timbal and Repenique grooves are played softly to allow the Caixa to drive the motor, and to leave space for the melody parts.

Call, Response, and Shout

Repenique: "I can go to the party, af - ter - the baby goes to sleep.

Timbau: "When the baby goes to sleep?"

Repenique: "I can go to the party, af - ter - the baby goes to sleep.

Timbau: "When the baby goes to sleep?"

Repenique: "When the baby goes to sleep."

Timbau: "When the baby goes to sleep?"

Repenique: "When the baby goes to sleep."

Timbau: "When the baby goes to sleep?"

Repenique: "I can go to the party, af - ter - the baby goes to sleep.

All: "Baby woke up!
